The intoxicating sound of fujara emanating directly from the soul, the stories of unique local people and the undulating romantic scenery of the highest and best-preserved volcano in Central Europe – Poľana. Poľana underwent three phases of volcanic activity. Its last eruption scattered the original volcanic cone, which was similar in size to Mount Kilimanjaro. It has created a huge crater which, even after millions of years, is still clearly legible in maps and in the country as a caldera with a perimeter of more than 23 kilometers. It is really still an untouched corner of Slovakia, included in the UNESCO biosphere reserves.
